Yesterday we came together, Jewish, Muslim, Palestinian, Black leaders and more, to stand up to the false accusations of antisemitism against Rep. Ilhan Omar and a resolution that unfairly targets her – and we are having an impact.
We helped change the resolution that was originally just intended to reprimand Rep. Omar into a condemnation of not just antisemitism, but also Islamophobia and hate of all kinds.
We showed the power of grassroots pressure.
In less than 3 days a coalition led by Muslim organizations emerged, and you and I were a part of a new wave that is steadily shifting the scales towards justice.

When we stopped by Rep. Omar’s office yesterday to offer love and solidarity to her and her staff, Palestinian leaders in our group said what we are all feeling: we have been waiting our whole lives for a leader like Rep. Omar.
#IStandWithIlhan has emerged as a force to be reckoned with, and we will fight for our leaders’ rights to speak up for Palestine and speak up for the growing masses who demand a new day for justice, equality and dignity for all in Palestine/Israel and here in the U.S.
I was honored to stand yesterday shoulder to shoulder with the emerging leaders of this new wave, and I am honored to stand shoulder to shoulder with you, James, as we enter a pivotal time in U.S. politics.
Will you double-down with me as we prepare for the next attack on our leadership?
As Rep. Omar stands firm in her promise to fight for justice for all, we know we have to stand firm in our resolve to support her.
Thank you to everyone who called their Representative, called House Speaker Pelosi, emailed, and tweeted to show our outrage and support of Rep. Omar. This victory is yours.
